Amy Florian is a nationally-recognized consultant who works as a teacher, trainer, and grief coach. She is the CEO of Corgenius, the premier training source for professionals who want to speak with and support their clients, friends, and family in grief and transition. She holds a Masters Degree, and is a Fellow in Thanatology (the highest level of certification in bereavement studies) in the Association for Death Education and Counseling.  She teaches as an adjunct professor in a graduate department of Loyola University, as well as at Dominican and St. Xavier Universities.

Amy works in two spheres. One sphere, represented by this website is her faith-based work.   The other sphere, represented at www.Corgenius.com is her secular-based work.

Both spheres or personas are "really Amy" and each website accurately and honestly represents how she approaches that sphere. Like you, she is but one person and so each sphere naturally influences the other but, when in her faith-based mode, she reference the religious, spiritual, and theological underpinnings of the work. When in her secular-based mode she reference the non-religious, neurological, psychological, physiological, and social foundations of the work. She does not bring discussions of faith into "Amy Florian of Corgenius" discourse unless explicitly asked to do so.

Amy is the author of over 90 articles and two books (Sign & Symbol, Word & Song with Ave Maria Press and The Mass: An Invitation to Enjoy It with ACTA Publications).   She continues to serve on numerous national conference teams, and facilitates a support group for widowed people.

An engaging and dynamic speaker, Amy conducts workshops, missions, and training sessions on the local, regional, and national levels.
