Father Stephen D. Gosnell
St. Andrews by the Bay Parish, Baltimore

We were so refreshed by our Parish Mission led by Amy Florian. She truly provided for us 'the living waters,' made to spring up inside of us by our gracious Lord. I believe all who attended the evening sessions, especially Tuesday, will agree what a blessing she was to our community. She is living testimony to the varieties of gifts and ministries with which our Lord blesses His Church, all from the same Spirit. It was the best mission I have ever attended.

I wanted to write and let you know how much I enjoyed sharing in the Sixth Annual Central Maryland Formation Day on March 13, 2004. I thought your presentation at Mount St. Mary’s was great. I will never hear the account of the woman at the well without having a much clearer understanding. Amy, thank you again for sharing this faith-filled experience with all of us. May the Lord bless you for all that you do to bring His message of love to others.

I first became acquainted with you at the East Coast Religious Education Conference in Washington, D.C.  I've read your "Faith in Focus" columns, your articles in "America" magazine, and as one of the letters to the editor states, "Amy Florian is a name I am not going to soon forget."

I attended your mission sessions at St. Matthews - DYNAMITE!  I lost a husband and son in a car accident.  Your words and insight I will ponder for many days to come.  Thank you!

Your inspired presentation these past four nights have made this the most special Lenten observance of our lives.  Your sincere commitment, and your love of the true message of Christ is communicated to your audience wiht your actions and with every word you speak.  We feel that our faith has been strengthened immeasurably, and also realize that the building of one's faith is never done.  What wonderful challenges you give us!  God bless you

I just returned from Mass, and what a different experience for me since I finished reading your book on the Mass.  I savored every word, sentence, and paragraph - so much food for thought and aspects of the Mass I have never thought about before.  You are a wonderful teacher explaining everything in a simple and entertaining way.

Amy Florian has written a wonderful book...focused on the "why" of what we do at Mass..intended for all who desire a deeper knowledge and appreciation of this central ritual...This excellent resource book should ignite deeper understanding of the Mass on the part of all wishing to participate more fully.

What a terrific presenter!  Participants at our annual conference raved about Amy Florian's keynote and workshop presentations.  Amy skillfully blended teaching, music, audience interaction, visuals, drama, and her own personal story.  She was down-to-earth and personable, and connected well with the audience.  Amy tailored all of this to our event theme and special requests of the planning committee.  Our only difficulty now is finding someone to follow in her footsteps next year!  I highly recommend Amy Florian and would be happy to discuss our experience with anyone considering her for a keynote or a workshop.

Amy:

I did not have much time to talk with you at either presentation last week, and I know how many people come up to you at breaks as well as after your presentations, so I thought I’d just wait & email you.

I wanted to thank you for inspiring me at both of your presentations. You are a dynamic speaker & very motivational. Now I will be honest with you (concerning me)!
As I tried to leave the parish office on Wednesday morning to go to the Diocese, I had everyone asking me questions and I was trying to get to our DRE gathering on time. I said to myself, “Hopefully, this morning will inspire me because I really have so much to attend to at the office”. Well, as I listened to you, I said to myself, “She is speaking directly to me”.
You truly said what I needed to hear! For this, I thank you.

Rhonda spoke so highly of you, and now I understand why! May God continue to bless you in your work and ministry, and bless your family also!
Have a happy and holy holiday,

Denise Louviere

Amy,  I'm so appreciative of you time spent in Oregon. Saturday's retreat in Carver along the river was so phenomenal. The setting was a true vision of God's presence in nature. But your words opened several doors for me and allowed some wonderful discussions with people I didn't even know and yet we attend the same church. What a gift. I left feeling emotional knowing that I had work through issues that had laid heavy on my heart.

Thank you does not say enough.

I was a little apprehensive about going as I HAVE SO MUCH TO DO! She really made me stop and think about hat's really important. And the next day it SNOWED in Baton Rouge - it was the perfect day to be Mary. I watched my little boys play in the snow with the neighborhood kids - the wonder and excitement that children have. It was a truly Mary day for me!

It made me think about I need to look at life and all it hands me in a different light.  It was an eye opener and when Amy did the skit of Martha that was extremely moving.  Please thank Amy for such a wonderful morning of reflection.
